Suspension of Yard Waste Service

In response to the current public health emergency and in accordance with the Solid Waste Advisory from Fairfax County, please be advised that Patriot Disposal will temporarily suspend the collection of yard waste from all Fairfax County residential customers, effective immediately.

Please note that this change is necessary to continue to protect the health of our employees during the COVID-19 emergency. Due to the significant number of residents who are quarantined in their homes, we have been experiencing an unprecedented increase in the amount of residential trash and recycling out for collection. Therefore, no adjustments will be made to your account for the omission of yard waste collection.

As a courtesy, Patriot Disposal will pick up Fairfax County residential yard waste next week, March 30th through April 3rd, along with the collection of regular household trash.

Essential Services and Suspension of Special Pickups

Trash pickup is an essential service and Patriot will continue picking up our trash on Tuesdays and Fridays and recycling on Wednesdays.  However, there is the potential for delays in service.  Any updates will be posted on Patriot's website under 'Contact Us'.

To maximize Patriot's ability to continue serving our community, please hold on to special items (furniture, appliances, etc.) for collection.  For example, if you have a grill (or similar item) that you would like to have picked up, save that request for a later date.

Pet Waste Stations

To help address pet waste negligently left on our sidewalks, yards, or individual trash bins, we have installed four pet waste stations across Hayfield View.   The stations have been installed at:  (1) Duddington Dr. and Hatherleigh Ct., (2) Duddington Dr. and Helmsdale Ln., (3) Helmsdale Ln. across Brighouse Ct., and (4) Lower Blanford Ct.

Doody Calls services our stations each week.  The stations are only meant to hold bagged dog waste, not other types of trash.  By reducing the incidents of dog waste on community grounds, we are confident that this initiative will benefit everyone in Hayfield View, not just dog owners!

Call for HOA Volunteers!

Hayfield View is a community of 225 residences and relies on volunteers to perform many vital operations. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the community and to get to know your neighbors!

Of particular need are positions to be filled on the Community Operations (Grounds), Traffic and Safety, Communications, and the Special Amendments committees.
